AsiaStar 2020 results determining “the best of the best packages in Asia” were announced. Turkey won a total of 21 awards in AsiaStar 2020 in which a total of 174 applications from 13 countries competed.
The jury meeting of the AsiaStar Competition, which is organized annually by Asian Packaging Federation (APF) and referred to as Asia’s Packaging Oscar, was held online due to the Covid-19 pandemic. 6 products of Turkish companies were awarded, and 15 Turkish young designers representing Turkey successfully won awards in the category of student.
The rise in packaging will continue
While Turkish companies won a total of 6 awards in Consumer Products and Eco-Packaging Categories, 15 projects were awarded in the AsiaStar Student Category, where young designers who are ranked in the 16th Packaging Design National Student Competition organized by the Turkish Packaging Manufacturers Association (ASD) with the contribution of the Eurasia Packaging Istanbul Fair and in collaboration with Reed TÜYAP in the AsiaStar 2020 Competition.
Evaluating the results of the competition, ASD President Zeki Sarıbekir said, “I congratulate our award-winning companies and our young designers. We are delighted to successfully represent our country in the international arena as an industry. We received 21 awards from this competition. As an association, we will continue to introduce the Turkish Packaging Sector to the world by continuing the competitions we organize and to ensure that our young people open up abroad. The rise in the packaging industry will continue.”
